Advertising with new media
Advertising has changed in the last ten years to accommodate new media. Advertising is already changing with the advent of new media. Companies
are taking advantage of the onslaught of new media and social media.
With advertising companies can provide free content to the consumer. Most people are using new media in one way or another, so companies are directing their ads to it. Social media is one of the major ways people are using the internet and communicate with each other. Facebook, You-tube, twitter and other forms of social media have these advertising on them. Since almost everybody uses one or more formats of social media,
companies would have to be stupid not to take advantage of this. This is
a cost saving way the company can get its message out, without costing
much money. Advertising through new media is what I am studying here at Colorado tech, so this is why I choose this for this assignment. I have already had a few clients in advertising and it was extremely fun to work with the client to achieve their goals in it. I had to remind them several times about new media and they greatly appreciated it. Designers like myself are directing companies to take full advantage of this media because without doing so they the company will fail.
In these blog post for this assignment I will post examples of how companies use social media and other forms of new media to accomplish their goals.
